Option Renewals

Lease options, or options for further terms as they are formally known, will generally have to be exercised not more than 9 months and not less than 3 months prior to the end of lease term, depending on the particular lease terms.

The exercise of a lease option is best done in consultation with a lease lawyer, so as to ensure that it is done correctly and can’t be disputed.

We advise both tenants in relation to the exercise of a lease option and landlords who require advice as to the enforceability of a lease option.
